Job Description
Our company is looking for a well-organized Site Engineer with strong leadership skills to join our project team. The Site Engineer's responsibilities include managing different parts of construction project, supervising crew members, preparing estimates for time and material costs, completing quality assurance, observing health and safety standards, and compiling reports for different stakeholders. The site engineer will report to the Project Manager or Coordinator.
In addition to the above the site engineer will be expected to execute:
- Organizing materials and ensuring sites are safe and clean
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff, especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager or coordinator
- Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly
- ensuring project packages meet agreed specifications, budgets and/or timescales
- providing technical advice and solving problems on site communicating with the project manager.
- preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork
- liaising with quantity surveyors about the ordering and the pricing of materials
- ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered
- Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available.
- Providing technical advice to the contractors to meet the required quality of work.
- Diagnosing material and equipment before use.
- Drawing up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to crew members and clients.
- Gathering data, compiling reports, and delivering presentations to relevant stakeholders.
- Completing quality assurance and providing feedback to the team.
Job Requirements
Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture and 3 -5 years’ work experience
- Experience in site supervision
- Sound knowledge of Engineering and experience in construction finishing work supervision.
- Great leadership and organizational skills
