PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Nurse ensures efficient delivery and patient care in accordance with accepted standard medical practice and professional codes of conduct. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides general nursing care to patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatments and examinations of patients.
• Observes patient records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
• Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess the condition of the patient.
• May prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Detecting changes in patients' health and modifying treatment plans, as needed.
• Training patients to manage and prevent illness and injury.
• Maintains absolute confidentiality in respect of patient records, medical nursing, and allied health professionals.
• Responsible for assisting the physician with a diagnosis.
• Update patient records and educating patients on disease and post-hospital treatment.
• Record and follow-up patients’ referral feedbacks to ensure delivery of proper care.
• Record and prepare accident reports for minor and major accidents on time.
• Prepares and submits periodic reports as required.
• Consult a physician for different cases to arrange for referrals.
• Work with the HSE team to ensure the agreed Annual Action Plan is delivered.

Job Requirements

• BSC Degree or Diploma in Nursing
• At least 3 years of experience for Degree and 5 years consecutive experience working in a health care facility for Diploma
