Job Description

Purpose of The Job

To provide support for all IT users and maintain IT resources at the required level of quality. Application Support, Network Support, Email Support, etc, and to maintain all computers, printers, telecommunications, and software.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure that PCs and laptops are Up To Date as per the IT policy of the company.
Ensure that necessary applications required by users are installed and working as expected e.g. MS Office, MS Project, etc.
Ensure that printers for users are configured and working as required i.e. both local and network printers.
Responsible for setup and deployment of new PCs/Notebooks to users.
Ensure that all PCs are protected from virus attack by installing the latest Anti-Virus program.
Troubleshoot and resolve end-user hardware; operating system and software-related problems from the Help Desk, where possible.
Troubleshoot and resolve basic network and server access problems for end-users, from the Helpdesk, where possible.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WAN, LAN, firewall, VPN systems, etc, from the Helpdesk, where possible.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with voice communications (Fixed telephone, PBX, or IP telephone system).
Forward technical support issues that cannot be addressed by the Helpdesk, to the relevant regional or central support team.
Performs IT asset and software license inventory, maintains an up-to-date database and generates reports.

Job Requirements

Excellent communication and customer care skills
The ability to explain technical solutions clearly
Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
Proficiency in spoken and written English
Self-organized and multi-tasked

Expected Education and Experience

BSc in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
2 - 3 years of relevant experience
Excellent IT skills
In-depth knowledge of the computer systems and different software that clients use
