Position Summary:

Excellerent is looking for Oracle Apps DBA with strong expertise in EBS Upgrade, Implementation, Migration, patching and database upgrades. The position holder is expected to work in a shift to serve our client 24/7. 

The position will report to the Team Leader/ Technical Delivery Manager, with potential for advancement.

Essential Duties

• Sound Knowledge of EBS Upgrade, Implementation, Migration, patching and database upgrades.
• Expertise in EBS and Non-EBS Database cloning/Patching.
• Knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery scenarios
• Experience and knowledge in migrating code, database changes, Oracle quarterly patch installs
• Experience in Oracle RAC, ASM, Datagaurd and OEM. PCP Setup and troubleshooting
• Experience in analysis and application of GI Patchset, OJVM PSU patches (APPS and DB), Oracle Security Alert Patches, Timely Recommended Patch Upgrades, EBS Maintenance Packs, Bug-Fixes, TAR/SR Creations/Escalations and Issue Resolutions. Maintain Patch logs, Version Controls.
• Experience with Oracle Tools OEM Grid Control, Quest Tools, Export/Import Tools, RMAN backup Tool, Setting up Alerts and Pro-Active and Preventive Maintenance.
• Knowledge of ISupplier, DMZ configuration.
• Knowledge in fine tuning the concurrent processing in large EBS environment.
• Experience as an Oracle Apps DBA with R12.1 and R12.2 experience throughout all stages of the lifecycle
• Proven experience with multiple operating systems: Linux/Unix/Solaris/Windows and physical database design
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware applications/Oracle Weblogic.
• Experience with managing and upgrading Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c and higher
• Expertise in Oracle database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Strong experience in Backup and Recovery of large databases from Tape or RMAN online backups.
• Working knowledge of Tablespace Encryption and Oracle Advanced security tools
• Knowledge of SQL and MySQL desirable

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Software Engineering or related fields from a recognized institution. 
• 5+ years of in-depth experience in Oracle Apps DBA (E-Business Suite).

Required Skills:

• Proficient with using sqldeveloper/ TOAD and Grid control
• Proficient in shell scripting and automation.
• Proficient in managing databases with multi-tenant architecture.
• Familiarity with Oracle Goldengate.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain documentation
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
