Description
- Lead role in the month end close and reporting
- Bank reconciliations
- Account reconciliations
- Process journal entries
- Process inventory transactions
- Maintain the PEACHTREE system configuration as needed
- Improve internal controls and procedures
- Act as a liaison to internal auditors, external auditors, and corporate office
- Manage monthly insurance reporting
- Train other employees on PEACHTREE system routines, reports, etc.
- Manage and communicate a philosophy of mitigating risk
- Cross train in other areas to act as a back-up for others taking time off
- Other associated tasks as required
- Communicate non-compliance issues to subcontractors when needed
- Prepare, review, and process subcontract documents.
- Subcontractor compliance monitoring, i.e. insurance, lien waivers, etc
- Process subcontractor change orders and amendments.
- Coordination of budget recording with project teams.
- Collaborate with project teams regarding timely accurate reporting of revenue and cost.
- Assist with corporate month end close and preparation of various monthly financial reports
- Preparation of AIA billings and reconciliation to payments
- Daily / Monthly recording of accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.
- Manage weekly payments to subcontractors and vendors filing all appropriate backup
- Year end audit support
- Assist is general ledger account reconciliations and analysis
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced level of English,
- Bachelor’s degree in in accounting or finance
- Five (5+) years’ previous experience in accounting or finance
- Basic computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time e Possess excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with management, operations and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner
- High level of reasoning abilities (i.e. Meeting deadlines, Prioritize Company and customer needs, serve as a leader to both peers and direct reports)
- Construction industry experience preferred
- High level of ethical behavior
