Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Service Manager to lead our service team in maintaining and installing medical equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong biomedical engineering background, proven leadership experience, and a passion for delivering excellent client service. Responsibilities include managing technical operations, leading a team of biomedical technicians, ensuring compliance, optimizing service processes, and contributing to strategic planning.

Lead and manage technical operations, including installation, commissioning, preventive and corrective maintenance of biomedical equipment.
Develop and enforce service protocols, ensuring adherence to regulatory and safety standards.
Plan and oversee resource allocation, work schedules, and timely service delivery.
Supervise, coach, and evaluate the performance of biomedical engineers and technical staff.
Identify training needs and implement development programs to build technical capacity.
Foster a collaborative and accountable team culture aligned with company values.
Act as the primary escalation point for technical service issues and client concerns.
Maintain ongoing communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and long-term engagement.
Monitor complaint handling processes and implement improvements as needed.
Design and implement SOPs for all service-related activities.
Ensure full compliance with national regulations, health and safety guidelines, and internal policies.
Maintain accurate technical documentation and ensure traceability for quality audits.
Oversee stock levels of spare parts, tools, and test equipment.
Approve purchase requests for critical service components.
Ensure that service equipment is regularly calibrated and well maintained.
Contribute to operational planning, budget forecasting, and departmental goal setting.
Generate and present reports detailing service KPIs, risks, and improvement actions.
Recommend innovations and vendor partnerships to improve service efficiency and capabilities.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering and related technical field.
Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years’ progressive experience in technical service, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Required skills
Proven experience managing the installation and maintenance of medical equipment.
Deep understanding of biomedical equipment operation, troubleshooting, and repair.
Familiarity with national and international medical equipment standards (e.g., ISO, EFDA).
Proficient in service documentation, asset tracking tools, and inventory systems.
Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
Capable of managing multiple priorities and working under pressure.
Willingness to travel for site support and supervision.
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic project management tools.
