Through its Strategy & Innovation Department, HST offers consultancy services on corporate and business unit strategy formulation, business model transformation, strategy monitoring, project management, process, and finance transformation by deploying highly qualified staff and using participative methodologies and tools. HST’s professionals have access to and supported by relevant and up-to-date knowledge and modern technology.

As part of its effort to build the capacity of its Strategy & Innovation Department, HST plans to recruit a consultant with a strong background in management, accounting and finance, and accounting information system who has the deep interest to engage in different consulting projects in a team.

Among others, the successful applicant will have the following responsibilities:

  • Draft consulting project plan and when approved undertake portion of a consulting project as a member of a consulting team by collecting and analyzing data and information relevant to the project to deliver high quality services to clients.
  • Develop draft technical proposals by using appropriate template, methodology and tools to meet the requirements of a client’s terms of reference or request for proposal and finalize the technical proposals by incorporating the reviews and comments provided by the immediate supervisor.
  • Update the financial performance information of financial institutions and other key sectors relevant for consulting projects in organization diagnosis and strategy formulation.
  • Stay abreast of new knowledge, practice, trends, tools and technology relevant for strategy, business model, process improvement, finance transformation and other services of the firm.

Job Requirements

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Management, Accounting and Finance or Accounting Information System with a BA degree in the same business fields and exposure to a well-recognized accounting software such as ERP.
  • Minimum of four years of relevant work experience, particularly in consulting, teaching and/or research.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Amharic languages
  • Effective presentation skills and report writing using MS Powerpoint
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed computer user skills, including typing.
  • Deep passion for day-to-day personal development through extensive reading, training and continuous client engagements.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
