The Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI) was founded in 1970 through the initiative of the Norwegian and Swedish Save the Children organizations seconded by the Ministry of Health of Ethiopia. The Institute got its name from the Norwegian physician, Gerhard Henrik Armauer Hansen, who first described the leprosy bacillus (Mycobacterium leprae). AHRI is a biomedical research institute that works in developing tools for prevention, control and treatment of mycobacterium and other diseases of public healthy importance through applied and basic biomedical research and training.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer IV is being accountable to the Partnership, Planning & Grant Management Director; and perform day to day activities and other related activities.

Aim of job title

• Conduct operational research that increases performance of annual plan, monitoring and evaluation.
• Job title activities and result

Result 1- Number of mentoring on development of institutional plan

• Preparation and revision of institutional plan and approved with higher officials.
• Participate in preparation or revision of strategic plan and provision of input on the preparation; beside be part of TWG of strategic plan.
• Confirmation and comment newly generated policies in comparison with the institution mission and vision.
• Preparation of budget for conducting planning session and transfer for departments.
• Mentoring departments on planning session.
• Train staffs from department on planning, monitoring and evaluation.

Result 2- Conduct operational research on areas that improve plan versus performance furthermore benchmark best achievements

• Report to higher officials about institutional budget consumption and gaps during utilization.

Job Requirements

Required Qualification:

Education: BA in Economics, Management, Business Management, Geography, Social Science

Experience: 6 years of experience in Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation
