Who we are 

Ethio Star is the International group of companies specialized in automotive business, procurement solution and brand representation. Our core business is supplying brand new vehicles to GOs, NGOs, diplomatic missions and private companies.

For our Addis Ababa representative office, we are looking for qualified applicant to fill the position of Logistics Manager, with the following duties:

Role      

Main Logistics and Operations related duties include but are not limited to:

  • Organize, supervise, and report on company operations in Ethiopia and overseas,
  • Freight consolidation, cost analysis, routing and scheduling, track shipments to ensure timely arrival of cargos and ensuring delivery processes adheres to any pertinent rules and regulations.

Manage physical stock and perform regular inspections,

  • Maintaining inventory and orders, and
  • Managing related personnel in service providing companies,

Analyze supply chain systems,

  • Ensure that all aspects of a logistics team, such as shipping, warehousing and procurement, are working together to fill orders and deliver goods on a timely basis,
  • Review all processes and systems and design and implement new plans and procedures as needed,
  • Creating and maintaining contingency plans.
  • Willingness to fill in and work in different positions in the company as needed.

Job Requirements

Background

  • BA/MA in Logistic, Supply Chain or similar qualification, 
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in logistic and operations in an international trade or logistic company or similar,
  • Advance in spoken and written English, knowledge of French or other international languages is a plus,
  • Good working knowledge of ITC technologies (phone, fax, email, the internet, social media for communications) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office), web panel,
  • Perfect knowledge of import and export customs rules and procedures in Ethiopia, and knowledge of required paperwork.

Other knowledge, additional competences

  • Driving license,
  • Basic technical knowledge in automotive

 Strictly Required Personal Qualifications

  • Hard Working and proactive,
  • Ability to trouble shoot, and work with strict deadlines,
  • Ability to work on the field,
  • Acceptance to have irregular working hours, 
  • Willingness to fill in and work in different positions in the company as needed,
  • Self-Confident and loyal.
