Job Description
Our client is looking for competent applicants for the post of a Logistics and Admin. Supervisor with the following responsibilities.
Formulate and implement procedures with regards to transportation, maintenance and other service.
Check driving license of the drivers for validity and proper usage Supervise the usage of transportation facilities.
Ensure and follow-up that all operational vehicles have insurance coverage and coverage renewal is done timely manner and follow up to make sure insurance payment are made on time.
Authorize requisition for fuel, oil, lubricants and other necessary suppliers required to facilitate and carry out transport operation.
Co-ordinate with warehouse supervisors to provide and facilitate the necessary manpower for loading and unloading of materials/items.
Check to make sure all the vehicles are in good condition.
Ensure and follow-up the proper and timely maintenance of vehicles.
Follow up with all repair shops for vehicles being maintained and make sure maintenance is completed properly.
Designate personnel to collect proforma invoice for all purchase for parts.
Make weekly or monthly meeting with in the driver.
Ensure that safety and traffic regulations are observed at all time by drivers.
Supervise the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles according to priorities and needs of various work units.
Ensure Deliveries are loaded on the vehicles to the Maximum load capacity intended.
Ensure that all delivery notes or any other documents are collected at the pick point and are signed at destination and returned accordingly.
Plan and update on weekly basis for deliveries to be made during the week.
Make sure all dispatched vehicles for delivery arrive on timely manner and leave their destination without any delays.
Ensure all logistic employees’ follow company procedure regarding attendance.
Follow and make sure all drivers submit keys before leaving work and vehicles are parked in a proper designated area.
Make sure all drivers are presentable in appearance according to company dress code.
Ensure all vehicles are road worthy and drivers of vehicles perform necessary checks before operating the vehicle on daily basis.
Follow up Staff Overtime .
Request all logistic payments by providing the necessary documents with proper approval to finance department.
Request all loading and unloading (labor) payments connected to deliveries by providing documents with proper approval to finance Department.
Compare transportation costs by other companies for fair pricing on regular basis.
Compile and update a list of companies and vehicle owners to be used in the future and present.
Process all insurance issue or problems according to insurance company policy in timely manner and company interest.
Other related duties as per the direction of line manager
A minimum of First Degree in logistics, supply management or related fields with at least 3 years of relevant experience
