Job Description

Crown Packaging and Plastics PLC produce and sell packaging products to the Ethiopian diary, food and beverage industry made from polystyrene. Our most important products are thermoformed cups in various types and in several sizes. Currently we are looking for a new Sales Manager who can join our team with strong team spirits, unlimited potentials, sense of commitment and who will continuously strive to meet the mission and vision of our company.

The Sales Manager is responsible for the Sales team. S/he is responsible for researching and developing marketing opportunities, planning and implementing yearly sales plans. The Sales Manager will also perform managerial duties to meet the company's operations goals. 

Main duties and Responsibilities:

  • Setting up sales goals and owning the sales strategy
  • Oversee day-to-day sales, monitoring, and forecasting to better understand the market
  • Continually assess our marketing techniques and their efficacy in affecting sales
  • Customer relationship management; serving as Crown's contact person, building & Maintaining customer relationships, resolving customer queries & complaints within timelines
  • Ability to ensure the timely and correct delivery of our products according to customer needs
  • Researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans, understanding consumer requirements, identifying market trends, and suggesting system improvements.
  • Monitoring the sales team's performance, provide guidance and training to the team
  • Provide sales forecasts, sales & stock reports and present summary Reports
  • Actively following and managing payments
  • Monitor the market and competitors, incl. conducting regular pricing survey
  • Cultivate and deepen client relationships and partnerships that add value
  • Ability to forecast & track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts) and to prepare reports on accounts (customers) status
  • Being Crown’s Management Team member

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of Quality Control
  • Perfect command of the English language in speaking, listening, writing and reading
  • Reliable, Self-motivated with a results-driven approach, accurate and attention for details
  • Strong communication skills and Flexibility
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Patience in answering and replying customers’ phone calls professionally
  • Knowledge of Peachtree accounting and MS Office (particularly MS Excel) and
  • Master’s/ BA Degree in Business Administration, Marketing Management or related field of study with 4/6 years of working experience with international oriented companies respectively.
