Job Description

On behalf of our clients, Freighters International PLC, we are looking for a competent candidate for the Junior Customs Assessor open position.

Job Summary

  • Check and scrutinize the document and validate the documents customs procedure
  • \Make Tax Assessment on the system (ASYCUDA++)
  • Notify duty to clients,
  • Notify for a client if documents are missed
  • Register and assess the declaration after receiving CPO from client
  • Fill and submit VDD online (Valuation declaration documents)
  • Reply to any Customs inquiry and notify to client
  • Provide support to staffs and client whenever required
  • Handle any other related tasks assigned by the supervisor

Salary scale

Salary scale is negotiable

Job Requirements

  • BA Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or any other related field
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of work experience in Tax Assessment and Tariff Valuation
  • Excellent analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good communication, interpersonal and organizational ability
  • Has an excessive knowledge of full Logistics tasks
  • In-depth knowledge of HS code tariff classifications, DTI, VDD, custom clearing processes and procedures
  • Knowledge about ERCA rules, regulation, and standards;
  • Able to work on ASYCUDA++
  • Standard business office software, communication skills, independent work initiative, diplomacy, analytical ability
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations that require sound decision making.
