Job Description
The social worker is responsible for the project planning, coordination and networking, counselling and implementation, monitoring, reporting, stakeholder management, financial utilization, human resource management of the staff under supervision that is for ensuring the smooth and quality implementation of the project. Moreover, she/he promotes interventions addressing the causes of children’s problems. She/he is also responsible for the efficient and effective child related development interventions in the Project Coordination office.
Report to: W/Sodo Project Coordination Office /Project Coordinator/
Education: BA/MA in Social work, Economics, Psychology, Nursing or any other related relevant fields of study.
Experience: 2/1 years of relevant work experience for BA or MA respectively, preferable in an NGO environment.
Competency Requirements
Well organized and ability to act in a professional and ethical manner;
Ability to communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders and promote a team approach for the successful achievement of the project deliverables.
Number of staff required: Two for social worker I
Duty station: Wolayita Sodo in project woreda towns for SWs
