Job Summary

Humedicae.V is German based International NGO registered inEthiopia in February 2010. Currently, it islooking for a qualified Assistant Project Officer for its Kazaincehs FSP Project.

Assistant Project Officer provides essential support to a project, working with the Project Officer and other team members to achieve project success. He/She is responsible for the overall project management, monitoring projects and follow up activities of the subordinates to accomplish the activities as planned.

Basic Functions

  • Assist the project officer in the preparations of the project’s monthly, quarterly and annual or other ad-hoc reports
  • Participate on project targets economic empowerment (assess their need, recommend for appropriate support, facilitate capacity building events for the target community and provide training as appropriate)
  • Assist the project officer to ensure the quality of the project deliverables by conducting continuous monitoring and follow-ups to the project activities
  • Ensure that the safety and security of the target beneficiaries are kept as per the code of conduct of humedica
  • Ensures that all purchases are affected as per the purchase guidelines and procedures of humedicae.V Ethiopia
  • Manage and handle project cash book
  • Review and follow up project budget utilization with other country office staff
  • Perform other duties when assigned by immediate supervisor

 Term of Employment:  Contract for one year with the possibility of extension based on performance

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Qualification: BA degree in Sociology, Economics, Business Management, Management or any other related social science field of study

Required Experience: a minimum of four years’ experience (Experience in development and humanitarian organization or INGO/NGOs desirable), experience in livelihood and economic empowerment, education, health, and community development related

Language skills: Very good English speaking and writing skill

Other Skills: Very good report writing, communication skill, empathy, and patience

Interpersonal Skills requirements: Ability to work harmoniously with the team.
