Key responsibilities among others include

• Responsible for the implementation of livelihood and life-saving activities;
• Collect data on current status of the target groups;
• Survey and identify livelihood development constraints and suggest the possible recommendations to the project office;
• Manage the cash transfer interventions
• Quickly analyze the existing gender differences so that the services are delivered to meet the particular needs of men and women and with particular focus on the needs of women in food, NFI and early recovery livelihood focused interventions.
• Ensure equal participation and benefit of women and men IDPs during the implementation of project activities.
• Responsible for the day to day monitoring of all planned project activities;
• Attend inter-agency meeting each month and participate in other meeting representing the organization;
• Prepare and submit reports directly to the Project Team leader on a regular basis;
• Compile and document beneficiary lists, distribution lists, photos, stories, etc.

Job Requirements

• Masters or Bachelor Degree in Plant Science, Horticulture, Rural Development, Agronomy and other related disciplines
• Minimum of 1 year relevant experience for Master’s degree and 3 years for Bachelor’s degree.

Key competencies:

• Knowledge of Tigrigna and Amharic is mandatory
• Strong communication skill in English (written and oral)
• Ability to interact with people
• Experience in areas of livelihood particularly in cash transfer programming
• Interested to work under pressure and in harsh environment
• Previous related experience in NGO setup is an advantage
