Infinity Advanced Technology Solutions P.L.C. (IATS) is a leading medical equipment distributor and technical service provider in Ethiopia. Currently the company needs to hire a qualified personnel for the following vacancy:

Job Summary: This positions primary responsibility is to process the daily the inventory and fixed asset. The inventory and fixed asset accountant must also construct and monitor those effective data accumulation systems needed to provide an appropriate level of inventory and fixed asset information to management.

 Roles and Responsibilities:

Vendor’s Payment process

• Post payment transactions to journals, ledgers and other records in the accounting software or direct the staff assigned to do this task
• Construct data accumulation systems for an inventory and fixed asset accounting system
• Track inventory/asset and process sold and on hand reports
• Reconcile accounts inventory/asset transactions, prepare analysis of accounts and monitor accounts to ensure these are up to date
• Verifies records at the ledger against records for sold and on hand
• Produce monthly reports, assist with month end closing
• Maintain vendor files, correspond with vendors, monitor accounts and respond/address to inquiries
• Provide supporting documentation for audits
• Create and review the controls needed for data accumulation and reporting systems

Inventory

1. Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts
2. Investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues
3. Update standard inventory and fixed assets in the bill of materials
4. Review standard and actual inventory and fixed asset s for inaccuracies
5. Validate the inventory and fixed asset of as part of the month-end close
6. Accumulate and apply overhead inventory and fixed asset s as required by generally accepted accounting principles
7. Work with the materials review board to locate and dispose of obsolete inventory

Analysis

1. Conduct ongoing process constraint analyses
2. Report on breakeven points by products, work centers, and factories
3. Report on margins by product and division
4. Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending variances
5. Analyze capital budgeting requests
6. Perform inventory and fixed asset accumulation tasks as a member of the target inventory and fixed asset group

Job Requirements

Education: Degree in Financial Accounting or Financial Management (essential).

Experience: Two years of work experience in payment/disbarment or related to accountant.
