Webuild S.p.A, the EPC contractor of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam Project (GERDP), would like to invite qualified and experienced candidates for the following position;

Duty Location: Guba Woreda, Benishangual Gumuz Regional State (Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam Project). For those applicants that will be shortlisted for interview or practical test which will be carried out at the project site, located at Guba Woreda, transportation, accommodation and meal services will be provided.

Duties:

• Implements the environmental‐ and monitoring plan for the GERDP related to S‐I activities; Analyzing Environmental aspects, Environmental Impacts and conducting Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA);
• Oversees and monitors daily waste management activities; 
• Leads and conducts environmental inspections/audits and reports for the same;
• Develops training material(s) in environmental management and environmental operational procedures;
• Facilitate environmental training and awareness sessions;
• Leads environmental incident investigations;
• Setts strategies for Environmental emergency response, planning, and executing emergency drills;
• Assists to ensure compliance with environmental national requirements and best international practices;
• Demonstrates excellence in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE);
• Reports environmental performances to the HSE Manager regularly.

Job Requirements

• Degree (B.Sc. and/or M.Sc.) in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering or Environmental management;
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience as Environmental Officer in the construction industry,
• Experience in Environmental auditing and inspections;
• Work experience in Environmental incident emergency response and spillage control and clean up;
• Work experience in Environmental training;
• Ability to execute projects, teams and schedules;
• Excellent computer literacy;
• Proficient in English and Amharic.
