Job Summary

MassDel is a services marketplace on a mission to transform the delivery and services market by seamlessly connecting service seekers and providers through an innovative technology platform. We are looking to recruit freelance experienced quantitative or qualitative data collectors/ enumerators that could participate on-demand on various research and survey projects. The data collectors’ main duties include attending training, traveling to survey sites, administering surveys using tablets, transferring data to online server, others.

Your duties/responsibilities:

• Attending training or orientation workshops
• Travel to survey regions, woredas and kebeles to administer surveys or conduct interviews
• Administer surveys using tablets and following field protocols
• Transfer survey data to online server on daily basis
• Translate and transcribe interview data (for qualitative data collectors)
• Participate in post-field work review workshop
• Undertake related other tasks as assigned by the supervisors.

Job Requirements

• At least Bachelor’s Degree preferably in research, statistics, economics, management, marketing, accounting, project management, agriculture fields, data science, monitoring and evaluation, public health, mathematics, or other relevant disciplines.
• CGPA of 3.0 and above in undergraduate programs.
• Two to five years’ experience in quantitative data collection, supervision of data collection, qualitative data collection and so on.
• Good command of English and Amharic languages
• Fluency in other local languages is advantageous
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Experience in administering survey using tablets.
• Detail-oriented and highly-organized, able to coordinate on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, and have an analytical mindset
• Excellent time management and prioritization
• Good typewriting skills
• Trustworthy, disciplined and hardworking

How to Apply

Daily rates will be negotiable. The data collector should be willing to travel to field sites across Ethiopia to gather data from households, and other data sources.
