Job Description
Plan International is an independent non-profit organization that advances children’s well-being and equality for girls. Working in building powerful partnerships for children for over 75 years and present in 70 countries, Plan International strives for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children while working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners. Plan International Ethiopia is looking for Gender Equality Coordinator-Maternity Cover for Country Office who will be reporting to the Project Lead (My Choice for My Life).

To maximize overall program impact through the optimized contributions of others, the post holder will be required to initiate, develop and maintain a range of working relationships, including with government counterparts, implementing partners and other development organizations within the region.
Effective working relationships within the program unit are also essential. The job holder will have frequent communication with Plan staff both at PA & CO, and with various internal staff networks

High contact - the job responsibilities of this position require the post holder to have very frequent contact with children. Hence, it is expected that children shall be protected at all times.
