Main Purpose
Supply Chain Security Specialty is responsible for managing security risks to ensure the protection of company assets and the life safety of Unilever employees at Unilever Sites. The role involves proactive monitoring of the Security threat picture, deployment of preventive measures to mitigate potential security risks, and implementation of a robust Incident management framework if the risks manifest.
Job Description
- Ensure safety and security of employees whilst on Company premises effectively manage third party security service companies in terms of fit for purpose performance and adherence/compliance with agreed service level agreement (SLA's)
- Liaise with Security Manager in implementing security awareness programs or processes and to protect life, corporate assets and to ensure business continuity
- Ensure all new joiners, international staff/visitors in the country/ Company are inducted on security procedures on arrival at Factory Sites and Office on the security situation in the country.
- Initiate and manage the immediate response to security incidents where there is a threat to Company employees and assets to ensure minimized Loss or injury. If necessary, to respond personally to these threats
- Ensuring implementation of Unilever security policy and procedures and periodic revision in line with the dynamic security threat environment
- Provide coordination and support for all visits, events, and Functions as may be required from time to time
- Liaise with and develop relationships with various Law Enforcement & Emergency Services in the event of a security incident/emergency (i.e. fire. medical, mechanical breakdown) and ensure timely reaction to incidents
- Coordinate availability of trained security personnel to implement effective Incident response, incident management, and Business contingency plans effectively
- Submit all the Daily operations, security reports are submitted to the Security manager to allow for an immediate update on with Unilever Reportable incidents framework.
- Implement a loss prevention program in the constant synergy between business controls and security controls so that internal Loss threats are effectively mitigated.
- Provide leadership, coaching, technical support, and on the job training to direct, indirect reports as well as 3P managers
Job Requirements
- At least six-year experience in security management- Working with police forces is an added advantage.
- University graduate or Senior Police/ military background
- Relevant Security training in Operations & investigations
- 1-3 years experience in Security
- Sound understanding of principles in the protection of company information, including computer bases.
- Computer Literate No Criminal Record
