Job Summary

Amref Health Africa, headquartered in Kenya, is the largest Africa based international non-governmental organization (NGO) currently running programs in over 35 countries in Africa with lessons learnt over 60 years of engagement with governments, communities and partners to increase sustainable health access in Africa. Amref Health Africa also incorporates programme development, fundraising, partnership, advocacy, monitoring and evaluation, and has offices in Europe and North America as well as subsidiaries; Amref Flying Doctors, Amref Enterprises and the Amref International University. Amref Health Africa has been active in Ethiopia since the 1960s and became fully operational as an international NGO in 2002.

We are currently seeking a consultant firm who can produce TV Spot Production with different local languages.

Objective

The main purpose of this consultancy is:

• The main purpose of this consultancy is to produce a 60 seconds TV spots (one minute each) in Amharic Oromiffa, Tigrigna, Afari, and Somali languages by adapting from the developed radio spot.

Tasks and Responsibilities of the Consultant

• Work with the Amref Health Africa team for technical advice that help ensure organization’s brand identity, language use and other related issues as per its guidelines
• Provide creative brief and develop scripts (2-3 scripts from which Amref team can choose) based on the developed radio spot.
• Make any necessary changes after discussing with Amref Ethiopia office team and start production
• Share draft copy of the spots produced for comment and any further inputs
• Produce the final master copy of the TV spot and submit on a flash disc to Amref Health Africa Ethiopia country office
• Ensure that the production of the TV spot message is of broadcast standard for use on selected TV station and also on website of the organization for external as well as internal dissemination

Job Requirements

In addition, the consultant firm must also comply with the following criteria:

1. Must be licensed to operate and work in Ethiopia
2. Minimum of three years’ experience
3. Demonstrated ability to produce high-caliber TV-Spot and within specified deadlines
4. Demonstrated ability to conduct audience research and develop profiles of audiences and segmented audiences
5. Demonstrated ability to establish and/or work within communication objectives
6. Demonstrated company in-house capacity to work closely and collaboratively with subject matter experts
7. Vidio production (Voice actors/professional sound studio and audio-recording capacity)
8. Excellent references from previous clients within the past 3 years
