Job Summary

The Irrigation Attendant maintains, operates, repairs and installs landscape irrigation systems at Friendship Square, managed by MIDROC Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. The incumbent also routinely inspects irrigation system components to ensure system is operating properly. Repairs leaks in irrigation lines, risers, control lines and sprinkler heads. The Irrigation Attendant could also be be in charge of irrigating the park grounds. 

Job Requirements

EDUCATION: Diploma or equivalent in General Mechanic or Plumbing from recognized technical school.

EXPERIENCE: Two years of relevant work experience is required.

Ability to use irrigation valves, pumps, controllers, electric lines and water lines, electronic testing equipment, power vehicles, hand tools, power tools and equipment, hoses, compressors, chemicals, safety equipment, radios etc.
