Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Define and lead the execution of new investments in processes at cellar/production/logistics. Develops, configures, and optimizes industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification. The position holder is involved in researching new technology and suggesting new infrastructures to the appropriate decision-makers.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors.
- Assist in drawing interpretation issues and identify manufacturing tooling requirements.
- Establish URS and technical specifications for process and packaging equipment.
- Perform process simulations.
- Manage CAPEX projects from the requirement to hand over on all Awash sites for (among others):
Raw material handling equipment
Wine processing equipment/tools
Bottling equipment/tools
- Secondary packaging equipment
- Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
- Prepare and issue RFQ to external suppliers for design, procurement, and construction.
- Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE:
- BSc degree in Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
- 3 years’ experience as a process engineer
- Minimum 6 years of experience beverage industry in general.
- Excellent Communication Skills.
