Job Summary
Responsible for the effective operation and maintenance of all Facilities, Buildings, Plants and Equipment with primary responsibility being the Mechanical systems, which includes: the overall Building & the different facilities, the irrigation system, medium and low voltage electrical distribution, emergency generators, Kitchen equipment, HVAC & Refrigeration, Boilers - hot water production & distribution, Elevators, UPS, Building Management System, all internal & external lighting; the well as all other mechanical equipment & systems at Friendship Square, managed by MIDROC Ethiopia, Addis Ababa.
Ensure effective inspection, supervision and timely reporting of all maintenance & repair activities. Responsible for controlling & follow-up on the execution of all contractual Maintenance; and for the effective & efficient Energy Management program. Responsible for leading & controlling the multi-discipline Mechanical Maintenance & Operation team that includes: Mechanical Team Leaders, Technicians, General Mechanics, Refrigeration & AC Technicians, Kitchen equipment Technicians, Plumbers, Carpenters, Painters, Mason & Plant room (Generator & boiler) operators & attendants.
Job Requirements
EDUCATION: Diploma/degree in General Mechanics or Auto Mechanics or any other mechanical fields of study from a recognized college or technical school.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of seven years of practical maintenance experience in machineries & equipment. At least two years supervisory experience is required.
LANGUAGE: Excellent Working Knowledge English language skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate the communication process
