Job Description

Purpose

To provide excellent customer service to identified Key Account/semi-wholesale outlets in Addis market and manage the relationship through a win-win approach. To sell and distribute cigarettes while ensuring optimal presences. Implement trade programs at Key Account level to achieve optimal trade engagement with the brand as well as ensure product availability at all times (no out of stock situations).

Main Areas of Responsibility:

  •  Sell NTE brands to ensure that our Key account/semi wholesale outlets have sufficient stocks and there is optimal presence of our brands throughout the universe in Addis market.
  •  Achieve monthly and annual volume targets per brand and per individual account by preparing a proper sales and distribution plan to support the delivery of the assigned key account/semi wholesale volume. Identity and exploit eventual potential sales opportunities in coordination with the sales team and the line manager
  •  Maintains in-trade product quality, rotation of stocks, and continuously strive to influence orders through continuous education of the Tobacco industry profitability to Key account/semi-wholesale management and point of contact.
  •  Gather and disseminate accurate and timely market and intelligence information on NTE and competitors activities at key account/semi wholesale level in order to contribute to timeliness and quality of decisions being made by management to address illicit business. Ensure knowledge of the market (stick sales, contraband, etc....) is continuously maintained. Ensure proper collection and analysis of data in the best way possible; drawing insights as to what can be done differently to improve our overall / brands performance
  •  Propose effective trade marketing programs and implement the same to ensure assigned key outlets are satisfied with NTE’s distribution systems including coverage, price, for any dissatisfaction investigate the root cause and propose viable solutions. Ensure no loading or out of stock situation is happening at the key outlets level and no distribution gaps in the assigned key outlets in Addis market.                                             
  • Ensure proper usage of the sales solution tool by providing accurate data, visiting the recommended number of outlets daily and maintaining consistency in the frequency of visits. Take corrective measure to address abnormalities in the system.                                             
  • Build and maintain sound customer relations through effective implementation of trade programs, driving continuous dialogue with Key outlets/demi wholesale management and key staff, and seeks to assist Key outlets in their vision while securing optimal return on investment.           
  • Ensure proper handling of company assets by the team such as vehicles, motor cycles, mobiles phones, lap tops and other resources as per their respective handling procedure and used for the company intended purpose only.                                                    

Other:

  • Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon line manager’s request.  

KPI's :  

  • Achieve 100% distribution of NTE key brands
  • Implementation of trade programs
  • Maintain strong trade relationship                                

Job Requirements

Education:

  • University degree or equivalent in marketing, economics or business management related specialization 

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of related work experience in an FMCG’s environment
