Job summary

The quality control, he/she must have ability to manage the quality of the product and raw materials, proven ability to work independently with little or no supervision, can work under pressure when required, ability to anticipate and rapid decision making, team player with communication skills, ability to interpret documents such as safety rules and quality control and Ethiopian FMHACA instructions.

Duties and responsibilities

• Supervise all lab analysis activities to ensure precision & accuracy of test results and maintain inspection records of analysis.
• Check the authenticity of the results and proper working of instruments & lab wares.
• Ensure calibration, inspection of measuring & test equipment used for quality control.
• Conduct on- job training to production teams and assistants and discuss the risks associated with the proposed.
• Monitor products are produced according to the company, customer and other applicable standards/requirements.
• Observing and complying with good manufacturing practice (gmp) and good distribution practice (gdp).
• Observing and complying with company standard operating procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping in the production area.
• Ensure all types of machinery are clean and safe for production operation.
• Ensure labeling & maintenance of all the equipment & accessories in the laboratory.
• Check whether all workers are properly using their safety materials for themselves and for product safety and quality.
• Follow BBS (behavior based safety) to maintain safety culture at workplace.

Job Requirement

Qualifications:- BSc degree in Food Engineering, Applied Chemistry or Chemical Engineering any other related.

Experience: 2 – 4 years’ experience advantages in food and spices industry.

Competencies:

• Able to lead a team
• Able to work as a team and on flexible schedule
• Able to manage team Able to communication in English and local language Amharic, Oromifa
• Experience in multi-tasking
