We are looking for:

  • A passionate Program Advisor to support the Technical assistance provided to direct funded local implementing partner. The MULU key populations program is intended to providing comprehensive HIV services for key and priority populations by (i) coordinating and leading synergy between various KP and PP activities; (ii) providing regular inputs to inform the Activity’s Senior Management Team on policy influence and standardization; (iii) supporting the scale up on KP and PP, integration, synergy and coordination with other implementing partners through HAPCO and RHB; (iv) providing high level leadership advise and capacity building for the RHAPCO and RHB in designing and standardizing key and priority population program and creating enabling environment.

Key Result Areas:

  • Strategic alignment and coordination, quality technical assistance provided to the LIPs and prime LIP
  • Advisory and capacity building (New initiatives including cervical cancer screening and treatment)
  • Engagement and advocacy (Representation in partners meetings; Number of meetings with RHAPCO and RHB leadership and another stakeholder for a differentiated HIV prevention)

Your contribution

Under the supervision of the Integrated Program Implementation Manager the Program Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Provide required TA to ART and Non-ART sites as requested by BPDO
  • Lead capacity building to LIPS, Local prime team, RHAPCO and RHB on KP and PP programming and cross learning among various initiatives.
  • Roll out trainings on new initiatives from MULU central team to prime partner, LIPs and site staff as required.
  • Co-design QM/QI projects based on continuous mentorship and supportive supervision findings.
  • Provide standardization, coordination, and leadership support in rolling out key and priority population programming.
  • Provide technical support in the implementation of regional level HIV prevention activities for key and priority population groups.
  • Lead biweekly granular data analysis at LIP and prime partner level and suggest timely course correction.
  • Advise and standardize data to action (D2A) framework for LIPs.
  • Participate in the different regional level forums, joint review meetings and joint integrated supportive supervision and provide technical assistance in standardization of guides, materials, standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for combination prevention activities. 

Job Requirements

What are we looking for? The basics

  • Master’s degree in Public Health or related fields with four (4) years of demonstrated experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, or related fields with six (6) years of demonstrated experience.

What would get us excited?

  • Experience in HIV service provisions
  • Proven track record of working with GOE.
  • Proficient in English and Amharic languages, both written and verbal communication
