Job Description

Job Summary

  • Engage and ensure that appropriate tools like CFP, coaching and mentoring etc… are practiced within the staff under his/her immediate supervision to enhance smooth staff relations and accountability
  • Liaise with warehouse or other commodity staff on distribution planning and commodities dispatching from Warehouse to distribution centers
  • Facilitate the planning and implementation of all JEOP activities in the woreda by closely working with the program team, commodity team and stakeholders at woreda level.
  • Supervise and lead the commodity team at woreda level to ensure best commodity management practice in warehousing and distribution to transfer the commodity in timely manner.
  • Provide written reports, data and feed back to JEOP program and commodity team at head office in the course of JEOP Program implementation
  • Perform control activities, analyze commodity management service requests, systems and processes, and advice on compliance matters and improvements needed to mitigate risk
  • Engage in regular correspondences within and outside WVE offices for timely shipment and transportation of food commodities to the respective targeted woreda 

Job Requirements

  • Education: BA/BSc Degree in Agriculture, Disaster Management, Rural Development, Development Studies and other related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in relief and/or emergency response program
