Plan International is currently updating its Emergency roster sheet for Tigray Emergency Response Project in different emergency response areas and is looking for Emergency Finance Assistant to play a vital role in our mission to archives lasting improvements in the quality of life of deprived children in developing countries

Accountability

• Ensure minimum cash balance is available for the normal functioning of the office at Program area level
• Replenish all documents on time so that the organization record shows up to date balance
• Deposit all collected cash within a week to the organization account.
• Ensure that all documents are stamped to avoid double payment
• Preparing payment voucher, cash receipt, withholding tax voucher for suppliers, purchase order, journal vouchers, and submit the hard copy to be reviewed & approved.
• Review all documents before to effect the payment according to all required check list /government compliance, donor compliance and depending to the organizational guide line responsible for proper documentation, filing and overall custodianship of the financial documents and facilitates the audit and YE activities and liaise the department with our stakeholders

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Behaviors, and Experience:

• BA degree in Accounting. At least two years of relevant experience with financial transaction

Desirable

Knowledge

• Good working knowledge at NGO environment.
• Good knowledge of influencing others.
• Good knowledge of accounting and Ethiopian taxes
• Good analytical skill

Skills Specific to the Post

• Knowledge on computer applications; Excel, word
• Good communication skills
