Job Description

Job Summary

  • Undertake regular warehouse inspection in its designated JEOP target woredas secondary warehouses to check and ensure higher level of Compliance to donor and Consortium level standards in warehouse management
  • Conduct regular live food distribution observations to monitor compliance of food distribution process to JEOP consortium and donor agreed standards. Based on monitoring findings and observations, continuously work with field level staff to attain a higher and full level of compliance
  • Conduct regular commodity end use check in its designated woredas after the completion of each food distribution round to check and verify beneficiaries
  • Follow the implementation & adherence of JAM, environmental compliance standards in his/her supervision
  • Host and conduct joint food monitoring with Partner Food Monitoring staff and take the prime responsibility to follow up and close findings at field level by actively working with JEOP field office staff.
  • Actively engage in team work at CPO and HO level by closely working with JEOP Response Coordinator, FAIRO and compliance Officer

Job Requirements

  • Education: BA/BSc Degree in social science fields such as Rural Development, Economics, Disaster Risk Management, Agriculture and other related fields
  • Experience: 2 - 3 years experiences on USAID funded emergency food assistance projects.
  • Knowledge of Excel, MS Word and MS Access, Power Point;
  • Experience and knowledge of USAID funded emergency food assistance projects, Red Cross code of Conduct, SPHERE Standard and HAP standard;
  • Technical knowledge & skill advantageous particularly on LMMS, CCTS, JAM, CTP, environmental compliance, emergency safety & security;
  • Experience of large commodity operations including distribution & staff management
