Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Prepare Annual Work Plans in consultation with the Planning, Budget and Project Administration Directorate ;
  • Prepare detail activity implementation proposal for budget request by the approval of FEACC top leadership
  • Prepare TOR in collaboration with respective Directorate for project based procurements activities
  • Provide technical support in close cooperation and coordination with relevant national, regional, stakeholders, on the implementation of the program activities ;
  • Provide direct technical support for the design and delivery of specific activities targeted at capacities building for the Implementing Partners;
  • Prepare project briefs and updates to the FEACC and MOF on program/project management related issues;
  • Liaise with key national and regional stakeholders from Government and civil society organizations to build synergy and collaboration, and to promote wider participation;
  • Assist FEACC in preparing Annual Work Plans and Budgets, financial and procurement requests;
  • Assist in accelerating programmatic as well as financial delivery following the ESPES Project Implementation Manual (PIM) and based on agreed indicators;
  • Follow-up and report on the implementation of the program ensuring that activities outlined in agreed activities are implemented as outlined in the Annual Work Plan and are executed in a timely manner;
  • Support by coordinating  and organization of conferences, workshops, forums and meetings with relevant stakeholders;
  • Initiate and execute, in coordination with FEACC respective directorate ,
  • field monitoring visits, and provide written feedbacks to FEACC, MOF & WB on findings and proposed actions;
  • Support Monitoring and Evaluation (ME) and Audit functions in collaboration with responsible Directorate and Finance colleagues in FEACC as required,
  • Prepare regular/periodic performance reports of all the World Bank project assigned;
  • Prepare project briefs to the FEACC Management Team on completion of program activities;
  • Prepare activity and financial reports to WB and MOF Under the guidance of the FEACC Management;
  • Ensure that the project follows financial and administrative documentation procedures in line with WB and Program Implementation Manual;
  • Act as a desk officer point of contact for the project
  • Work closely with Planning, Budget and Project Administration Directorate Of FEACC
  • Perform other duties to support for Effective and Efficient project activity implementation, as required.

Job Requirement

Qualification, experiences, Essential Skills and Abilities

  • MA or BA in Economics or Project Management or Business Administration Minimum 10 years for MA or 12 years for BA with relevant experience

Language Requirements

  • Fluency in English and Amharic languages, both written and verbal, is required.
  • Proven experience in translation of documents from Amharic to English and vice-versa is highly desirable and an advantage

Salary: 20,000.00 Ethiopian BIRR

Duration: (2 ½) Two and half years( yarely renewable with possibility extension)

Location: Addis Ababa
