Job Description
Job Summary
Responsible for auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns at Friendship Square managed by MIDRC Ethiopia Plc, Addis Ababa. Provide accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of the business, while ensuring that the company is in compliant with all tax and other local regulations. Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings; reconcile accounts payable and receivable; compute taxes and prepare tax returns; manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
Job Requirements
- BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree. Minimum of three years work experience as an Accountant,
- Hospitality experience is preferred,
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP),
- Hands-on experience with accounting software,
- Advanced MS Excel skills,
- Experience with general ledger functions,
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills,
