Plan International Ethiopia is looking for Procurement Coordinator (Emergency Response-Development Response) for Country Office who will be reporting to the Procurement Manager.
Accountabilities and MAIN WORK ACTIVITIES
Procurement Activities (40%)
- Conduct successfully and efficiently all procurement activities in line with Plan International Policies and Procedure, and various donor procurement rules and regulations in close liaison with all stakeholders such as Procurement Manager, requesting department, field team, and procurement committee
Implementations of Assigned Procurements (30%)
- Perform effectively and ensure correct implementations of assigned procurements by prepare bid analysis that has value for money at its heat for Procurement Committee authorizations
- Prepare quality contracts that reduces the risk of the organization
- Follow-up the timely delivery of items and ensure payments are processed for vendors in a timely manner supported by a complete supporting document with the support of Procurement Officer or Procurement Assistant
Preparation and Follow-up of Annual and Quarterly Procurement Plan (10%)
- Provide high quality supports to the procurement unit in the preparation, compilation and progress tracking of Annual and Quarterly Procurement Plan in coordination with all stakeholders
- Prepare and provide timely reports about progress by working closely with the Procurement Manager, Program Areas and various Departments
Engagement in Project Proposal Design (10%)
- Coordinate effectively with Procurement Manager in project proposal design engagements including project budgeting
- Provide all the relevant and necessary inputs to project proposals on key procurement aspects such as in feasibility of activities materials requirements, activity timelines considering supply timelines, procurement team resource requirements for the project proposal
Procurement Status Report (10%)
- Ensure procurement status report is consistently circulated on timely manner to staff/ requestors; as well as monthly and quarterly reports are submitted to Procurement Manager within the given time frame and against established KPIs
Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)
- Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
- Ensures that all staff in the unit/function/department are properly inducted on and understands their role in upholding Plan International’s safeguarding and GEI policies;
- Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day to day work.
- Ensures that Plan Ethiopia contributes to Plan International’s global efforts to ensure safeguarding and GEI, including making sure that relevant reporting and data are submitted.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications/Experience Essential:
- Education at BA Degree level or equivalent study in fields such as Business Administration or Logistics Management or related field of studies
- 5 (five) years demonstrated relevant work experience, out of which 1 (one) years must be in a supervisory position with management responsibility in a Corporate, UN or NGO environment
- Significant logistic experience running both emergency and development programs
Qualifications/Experience Desirable:
- Experience in preparing and submitting business cases is a plus
Languages Required
- Fluency in English language is essential
- Knowledge of local languages is a desirable
