• The Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI) was founded in 1970 through the initiative of the Norwegian and Swedish Save the Children organizations seconded by the Ministry of Health of Ethiopia. The Institute got its name from the Norwegian physician, Gerhard Henrik Armauer Hansen, who first described the leprosy bacillus (Mycobacterium leprae). AHRI is a biomedical research institute that works in developing tools for prevention, control and treatment of mycobacterium and other diseases of public healthy importance through applied and basic biomedical research and training.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Organizing programs and activities of the research ethics related and initiatives including the Pan-African Biomedical Research Ethics initiatives (PABIN).
• Creating and managing long-term goals.
• Developing a budget and operating plan for the program.
• Writing program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of services.
• Work in harmony with a team with a diverse array of background, talents and responsibilities.
• Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure program goals are achieved.
• Implement and manage projects under the program
• Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding programs issues and decisions on services.
• Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.
• Conduct any other responsibilities assigned by the institute.

Job Requirements

• Master's degree in Business, Law, Communication or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in various capacities, including proven experience in program or multiple projects Management.
• Proven stakeholder management skills.
• Proven experience managing a team.
• Experience using computers and various applications for a variety of tasks.
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word and Excel.
• Understanding of program management.
