Job Summary
Immediate supervisor: Board of Directors and the CEO (administrative issues)
Department/Service: Internal Control Service
Major responsibilities
- Responsible for implementing, directing and overseeing the auditing and compliance programs. Conducts and directs audits and ongoing reviews of organization controls, operating procedures, and compliance with policies and regulations.
- Reviews and appraises the soundness, effectiveness, and proper application of accounting and financial controls, compliance procedures and controls and timeliness of documentation generation.
- Assesses the adequacy and extent of programs designed to safeguard organization assets.
- Compiles and issues report detailing conclusions and providing recommendations for improvements.
- Directs and appraises the activities of audit and compliance personnel.
- Recommends employee training and modifications to procedures as needed.
- Prepare and submit periodical audit reports as required for timely appropriate managerial actions.
- Perform related duties as required and assigned by the CEO or the Board.
Job Requirements
Requirements;
- A minimum of: BA/Bsc/MA/Msc in Auditing/Risk Management/Accounting & finance;8/6 years of relevant experience out of which 3/2 years Internal control/Risk manager in financial institutions.
Note:- The final Selection decision is mainly depends on Ethiopian National Bank directive.
