Job Summery

Job Summary: Cashier responsibilities include receiving payments and issuing receipts and keeping track of all cash and credit transactions. To be successful in this role, Cashiers should have previous experience in a customer service position and good knowledge of how cash registers operate. They should also be available to take evening and weekend shifts regularly. To ensure success, Medical Receptionists should be confident and professional administrators with fantastic communication and interpersonal skills that will contribute to the efficient day-to-day administration of the healthcare facility.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers when coming or leaving the cashier’s office.
  • Collecting or accepting payments whether in cash or credit, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate, and proving a receipt to every customer using cash registers ticket (attachment) or receipt
  • Ensure the name of the customer and the collected amount is accurate, balance the cash register, and generate reports for credit and debit sales.
  • Check and Reconcile when payment done from Petty-Cash.
  • Check the Credit customer documents are correct (Eligible for the service, has stamp & ID)
  •  Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
  • Deliver MRI, CT request paper to Radiographers.
  • Calculate total payments received during a time, and reconcile this with total sales. (Compute and record totals of transactions.)
  • Sort, count, and wrap currency and coins and deposit the collected amount to the bank on time.
  • Daily issue Z-Report

·        Maintain clean and tidy work areas

  • Greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone.
  • Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors and patients.
  • Answer all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Perform all duties within AASRGH regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all doctor, staff and patient information.
  • Schedule appointments between doctors and patients.
  • Liaise between medical departments with discretion and professionalism
  • Adhere to policy and procedures during all activates.
  • Assist with admissions/treatment as per agreed protocols.
  • Ensure that stock levels of necessary materials required are adequate and orders are made timely.
  • Communicate medical results to patients under clinical supervision.
  • Complete accurate documentation of patient visits.

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Work experience as a Cashier in hospital or in a similar role is preferable
  • Interpersonal Communication/Written and Verbal Communication
  • Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft office,
  • Familiarity with cash register and POS and hospital system

·        Good math skills and has a Degree/Diploma in Accounting or related field.

  • Punctuality, Strong communication and time management skills
  • Customer satisfaction-oriented
