MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

% of Time - Activity - End Results

• 20% - Provide outpatient consultation to crisis affected host communities, IDPs including for people with mental health needs at outreach locations in the targeted woredas - Affected people received medical consultation
• 20% - Provide quality primary health care services through mobile health and Nutrition modality and provide capacity development to HEWs in recording and reporting, active case searching and sensitization, supply and cold chain management - Contributed to the delivery of quality PHC at outreach locations
• 20% - Support woreda/facility level Routine immunization, vaccination campaigns including vitamin A supplementation and support community level public communication campaign to raise awareness on COVID-19 and other epidemics prone diseases. - Emerging diseases outbreak prevented and responded
• 20% - Coordinate with the team member in operational matters (e.g. Supplies, Fuel, Stationery, etc.) and liaise with local authorities, represent the team in meetings and be responsible with all communications of the team - Well-coordinated MHNT operation maintained 
• 20% - Ensure that all medicine, medical supplies and equipment needed for the activities are available before departure - MHNT equipped with the necessary medical commodities and other logistics required for their routine operations

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

• BSc Degree in Public Health/Nursing with minimum of three years relevant experience. Additional certificate on Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) for Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) is an asset

Required Professional Experience

• Previous work experience at least 3 years in curative and public health promotion, and infection prevention and control.

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

• Knowledge, training and experience in management of MAM and SAM with/without medical complication
• Demonstrated skills in CMAM program planning, implementation and monitoring.
• Experience in cascading family MUAC approach 
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Good human relation skills.
• Willingness to work under pressure and extra hours
• Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working conditions;
• Strong adherence to World Vision values;
• Strong character traits, including emotional stability, adaptability, ability to handle stress, cultural and gender sensitivity and integrity;
• Prepared to live and work in an remote and uncertain security environment
• Fluent in oral and written English 

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement

 The position requires willingness to be Woreda-based and with frequent travel to visit to the seven outreach locations

 Physical Requirements

The duty station of the post is Woreda based in one of the woredas in Wukro/ Mekelle/Shire /Adigrat/ Samre/ Enderta/ Dega Tembena

Language Requirements

 English and local language
