Job Description
The Promotion, marketing & research development officer’s main responsibility is to search for construction tenders in the area of building construction, waste water treatment, irrigation, warehousing and related constructions that uses innovative technological solutions. The lead will be expected to arrange a deal with brokers and clients for BD/BOT procurement options due to OVID core competency in technology, service and delivery. He/she will also be responsible in marketing and promoting new products (Real estate development, new manufacturing products, and new technologies) the group investment developed and invested.
He/she will prepare marketing & promotion materials for each product/company in addition to updating company/product profile as a means to promote products and reach customers.
He /She will also be expected to research and innovate new construction technologies which would ease construction methodology and save time and cost to the industry in general and the Ethiopian construction sector in particular. As OVID core competence is technology/solution, the Innovation & R&D expert will have a primarily responsibility in advocating and or introducing IT based construction technologies to the industry locally & African continent. He/she will lead a preliminary feasibility studies for any upcoming projects and collaborate with consultants for feasibility studies which are beyond the office scope. The expert is required to undergo discussions with all stakeholders in the process of research and developments of products and innovative technological ideas.
The lead will be expected to collaborate with marketing consultants, engineers, manufactures, and architects, researchers, innovators and business deal makers in the process of understanding products and sealing deals.
Good understanding of financial deals, and ability to conduct research and feasibility studies for new investments is mandatory.
Job Requirement
- Required Qualifications: BSc Degree in Civil Engineering plus MBA in Marketing Management, Economics or related fields and 5 years’ experience Or BA Degree in marketing Management and MBA in marketing Management, economics or related fields with 5 years’ experience
