The Soufflet Group is a French family-owned business which is collecting and adding value to agricultural raw materials through industrial milling and malting among other activities. France’s top private cereal collector, the Group is also a major player in supplying inputs to farmers cultivating various field crops.

In malting, it is a front-rank world player on the malt market with 28 malt plants in Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa, located at the heart of the barley producing regions.

Varietal selection, seed multiplication, choosing the best quality barley for its malt plants and the precision of its manufacturing process all enable it to produce the finest malt for its brewer customers.

Soufflet has started its operation in Ethiopia in 2017 is commissioning its malt factory in Addis Ababa while actively working on local malt barley sourcing. 

To manage the external stake holder of the company institutional or private ( customer) Soufflet is looking to hire its Commercial and External Communication Manager.

Core Mission :

  • This Person Will be involved in all external stakeholder management of the company whether institutional or private (customers)

Major Responsibilities :

Approximately 50% of his/her time will be dedicated to public stakeholder management

  •  Maintain the public network and expand it in various agencies to smoothen the relationship
  • Reach out target and ensure that we get the quality services we are looking from .
  • Have frequent casual and formal meetings with all key public stakeholders to ensure Soufflet is known, our requests are taken into account and he/she will follow up on all topics.
  • This person needs to be all rounded and be able to understand various different topics to push the agenda of the company with respect to tax, utilities, legal, agriculture, etc.
  • The incumbent should maintain excellent relationships with Institutional and public stakeholders including but not limited to EIC, IPDC and various ministries and agencies.

Approximately 50% of his/her time will be dedicated to customers (brewers) management

  • Maintain the relationship with brewers at all times.
  • Prepare in connection with the GM and HQ commercial departments offers and review contracts
  • Follow up on the execution of contracts (quantities, quality, etc.) and be the point of contact between customers and Soufflet internal services involved (production, QHSE, quality and head office)

Job Requirements

Qualification: 

  • MA or MBA Degree Business Administration or related fields

Experience and knowledge

  • Above 7 years of experience in FMCG industry. Out of which 3 years as a manager or supervisor

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills to be able to interact with high level management, officials
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Business acumen (capable to understand a business quickly and commercial experience)
  • Outgoing personality.
