Invitation for organizing Political Debate among Political Parties in collaboration with ECDD

on disability-inclusive Policies and Programs

Background

Ethiopian Center for Disability and Development (ECDD) is an Ethiopian Development Organization established in 2005 and reregistered at Agency for Civil Society Organizations as Ethiopian Development Organization with Certificate no. 0321 under the Proc. No. 1113/2019. ECDD is working with other organizations to promote and facilitate the inclusion of persons with disabilities and disability issues in mainstream service delivery and development programs envisioning an Inclusive Ethiopia where persons with disabilities exercise the same rights and have access to the same services and opportunities enjoyed by other citizens.

ECDD has been implementing a project known as “Amplified Voices for Inclusive Election” funded by the Open Society Initiative for East Africa (OSIEA) to promote disability inclusion in the coming national election. ECDD has been approved by the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), through this project, to conduct political debate among political parties on disability-inclusive policies and programs. Consequently, ECDD wants to televise the debate through a tv station and make it accessible to the public. To this end, ECDD wants to invite media companies that are interested to work with ECDD and broadcast the debate in question.

Job Requirements:

Media companies having the following competencies and capacities are eligible to apply for this call:

• Profound knowledge and experience in working disability and disability-inclusive election, preferably with ECDD.
• Accredited to conduct political debate among political parties by the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE).
• Have a valid license and vat certificate
• Are committed to meet the deadlines; and equipped with enough resources to accomplish the work under consideration.

Terms of Payment:

• 50% upon signing of the contract
• 50% upon satisfactory broadcasting of the debate conducted.
