Roles and responsibilities

• Receiving, labeling and storage of specimens
• Prepares and maintains reagents and specimens
• Implements and ensure laboratory tidiness, safety and safe waste disposal
• Conducts preventive maintenance of instruments and equipment’s
• Assist the Immunohematology laboratory logistics officer in inventory management (ordering and maintaining stock of reagents and supplies)
• Assist the Immunohematology laboratory safety officer on safety related activities
• Supporting staffs in analysis of samples and result documentation
• Assists with inventory management of supplies and assure that laboratory areas remain stocked with needed supplies.
• Attend specimen management and logistics related meetings on behalf of the Immunohematology laboratory
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Immunohematology laboratory
• Participates in internal committee(s), in regular case team and Directorate meeting
• Guides and assists all Technicians junior to him/her
• Prepares and submits timely activity reports
• Performs other pertinent tasks given by his/her supervisor

Job Requirements

• Diploma/Level IV/ in Medical Laboratory Technology
• COC and professional license required 
• Experience not required (2019/2020 graduates)
