Job Description

Role and responsibilities
Generic responsibilities
- Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
- Assist with the implementation of the support function portfolio according to plan of action
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
- Ensure proper filling of documents
- Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function
Specific responsibilities
- Assist in training the child protection team and social workers on data management system.
- Up on start of CPIMS, ensure entry of accurate data in a timely manner
- Assist in monitoring all information gathered about the children in kinship, foster and community care and give appropriate feedback to the CPO officer and the social workers.
- Request for additional information from social workers and CP team when necessary and work with them to ensure the quality and consistent information are gathered.
- Develop appropriate filling system for all child protection information.
- Assist the CP team in establishing strategies, plans and implementing them technically to enable the CP program communication with other sectors and partners working in the field.
- Update the monthly statistics and depending on needs and submit to the CP Officers.
- Ensure the confidentiality of Children information is maintained.
- Prepare weekly and monthly data and submit to the program officer and child protection coordinator
- Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor
Job Requirements
Generic professional competencies:
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or IT with minimum two years of Data Management work experience and in humanitarian recover context
- Previous experience in complex and volatile context
- Documented results related to the positions responsibilities
Context related Skills, knowledge and experience (shall be adapted to the specific position):
- Example: Knowledge of Mai-Tsibire and Shire Operation Area Example: Knowledge of the local language–Tigirigna
