The Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane-Yesus Development and Social Services Commission (EECMY-DASSC) is a faith-based Ethiopian Charity Organization implementing diversified programs and projects in various regions of Ethiopia. It has head office located in Addis Ababa. EECMY-DASSC wants to invite competent applicants to employ internal auditor/Controller who fulfils the following requirements:
Major duties & responsibilities:
- Objectively review the commission’s business processes
- Evaluate the efficacy of risk management procedures that are currently in place
- Protect against fraud and theft of the commission’s assets
- Ensure that the organization is complying with relevant laws and statutes
- Make recommendations on how to improve internal controls and governance processes
Terms of Employment:
- One year contract with possible extension based on competence
Job Requirements
Academic Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a recognized College/ University preferably from a regular program.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in the field of accounting with a particular focus on internal controls and audit procedures.
- Ability in conducting investigative audit and write reports for decision-makers
- Capable of Writing good repot both in Amharic and English.
Other requirements:
- Willing and committed to share and respect the organization’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values.
- Preferably EECMY communicant member.

- Teamwork building skill;
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective listening, verbal, and written communications skills
- Accounting skills including auditing at a highly proficient level
- Good command of written and spoken Amharic, Ormiffa, and English languages.
