Job Description

SNV, Netherlands Development Organization, is operating in Ethiopia since the 1970s. Currently, SNV Ethiopia is working in eight regional states and the two city administrations of Ethiopia, providing technical assistance and program implementation in Agriculture, WASH, and Energy Sectors. Horti-LIFE is a Four-year (October 2019-2023) Horticulture development project funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and implemented by SNV Ethiopia working in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture (MoA). 

Consultancy Objective

To conduct gender Training of Trainers for Horti-LIFE and partner staff working with FFSs in Oromia (Jimma cluster), Amhara (Woldia cluster) and SNNP (clusters: Arbaminch, Hawassa, Butajira & Silte). 

Job Requirements

  • Rich experience in providing practical gender training, use of the tool called Household Methodology Approach and knowledge and skill in facilitation training
  • Proven track record and experience in gender-related work, and specifically conducting gender ToT use of HMA and facilitation training
  • Excellent command of oral and written English, Oromifa and Amharic language

Both the technical and financial proposals should be in a separate sealed and stamped envelope by writing the name of the specific assignment.

2% withholding tax will be deducted from the consultant fees at the source and will be paid by SNV – Ethiopia, assuming a TIN number and license can be provided.
