Description- TruLuv Granola is a business based in Addis Ababa, at an exciting point of growth as we grow our sales and work to establish a strong brand. We plan to grow in terms of production capacity and customer base, while also exploring how to innovate with new products and improve those we already have.

We make all-natural, snack bars and bite-size snacks. Made with natural oats, teff, and safflower seeds, TruLuv Granola granola contains no added sugar or artificial flavoring and is sweetened with Ethiopian honey.

At TruLuv, we seek to become the world’s favorite healthy Ethiopian food, providing snacks sustainably sourced and crafted by Ethiopian women.

TruLuv is looking for a passionate, energetic self-starter to join our team in the role of Marketing & Sales Intern. You will work directly with our Operations Manager to take on the following responsibilities towards building a strong and healthy business.

Core responsibilities

To support in researching and identifying strategies to grow our visibility and sales. 

• Draft social media content for the company’s existing brands
• Researching and developing marketing opportunities
• Visit most major retail outlets on a weekly basis
• Maintaining accurate records of retail visits
• Support to improve retail product displays as needed
• Demonstrating and presenting products
• Identify where training is necessary for the customer team on product knowledge & shoppers’ profile
• Make suggestions to the TruLuv management team on where display materials or improvements could be needed
• Attending bazaars to display and sell out products
• Present as part of internal sales meetings?
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Qualifications-

• Recently obtained Bachelor’s Degree (or in the process) with a GPA of 3.0, or higher;
• Excellent written and spoken English and Amharic
• Good oral, written, and communication/presentation skills
• Strong organizational skills and time management
• Creativity and ability to take initiative
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Great internet and computer skills, including MS Office programs and conducting research online
• Willingness to contribute ideas and feedback and to provide suggestions
• Wanting to go above & beyond, being down-to-earth, valuing open communication and being compassionate
• Interest and curiosity about sales and marketing
