Job Description

Pagumen is register by the Ethiopian Investment Agency as Tour Operator. It is established by more than 1300 shareholders spread all over the world including Ethiopian in the diaspora. Its aim is to address the missing link in the conventional tour and travel operation in Ethiopia. 

Pagumen aims to unleash Ethiopia’s potential for sustainable and inclusive tourism development and then promote Ethiopia’s history, culture, nature, hospitality to the world.

 The company will provide diverse, full of choices, unique and customized to customers’ peculiar needs and conditions. Pagumen provides a “one window integrated service” for all needs of services and products in the tourism sector. It provides tour operations (inbound outbound & domestic), Ticketing (IATA registered), MICE including event, car rental services with own modern all range cars and many more. It also engages in import of hand crafts, Souvenir articles and jewelries; export of paper products and materials; export of Crafts and Souvenir goods; Retail trade of precious materials and Souvenir goods.

Currently the company Open a new souvenir shop at “Sheger Park”

 Reporting to:   Finance and Logistics Department Manager

 Term of employment: Permanent 

General Duties and Responsibilities

Under general supervision and guidance of Finance & logistics Manager, he/she is responsible for maintaining daily financial activity and accounting by verifying receipt/ payment and other data as per the policy & procedures.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to)

  • Keep records of collections & payments regularly
  • Establish & maintain cash controls and also prepare cash related reports.
  • Prepare staff monthly payroll and reconciliation.
  • Verify before collection & issuing receipt, all sales are based on sales agreement , price guideline of the company
  • Prepare monthly income tax and pension (PF) returns and ensures timely payments to the concerned authorities.
  • Manage petty cash as per the rules & procedures of the company.
  • Manage transactions with customer using cash registers.
  • Collect payments whether cash or credit.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets
  • Deposit all cash receipts daily to the company bank account as per the Financial Manual of the company.
  • Reconcile weekly sales with car rented, Operation MICE, Ticket and submit the weekly report to the immediate supervisor.
  • Check before payment all documents are there and authorized by immediate /relevant Authority.

Job Requirements

Education--

  • BA Degree, TVET Level IV or College Diploma in Accounting             

Experience--:

  • Two/Four years, of work experience in  Cashier Accountant
