Job Description

The General Manager is expected to plan, direct, manage, lead and provide oversight of the overall project activities to ensure that the Company goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed schedule and budget parameters. Provide internal and external coordination and collaboration with project partners and stakeholders. Lead the share selling initiatives, prioritize projects, and implement same and run business activities.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed share selling strategies, review of business plans and make recommendations.
  • Proactively lead implementation initiation of one or several business initiatives simultaneously.
  • Report on project success results, metrics and deployment management activities.
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.
  • Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for different phases of the project.
  • Monitor staff performance and complete performance reviews.
  • Develop and manage all aspects of project engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues.
  • Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables.
  • Develop proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences.
  • Ensure that projects are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards.

Job Requirement

Required Qualification: Master’s Degree in Public Health, Business Management or appropriate field of study

Experience: Minimum of 10 years relevant experience of which 5 years in a senior managerial position. Experience in health related projects implementation and operations is preferable.

Required Knowledge and skills

  • Extensive understanding of project management principles, methods and techniques
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills
  • Build and maintain relationships by engaging the business community to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills
  • Research best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and use continuous process improvement disciplines to achieve results
  • Experience of working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office
