Purpose of the Job:

To enhance the Bank’s non-branch service distribution as well as customer base by recruiting as much agents and online/digital customers as possible. The division is also tasked with deploying ATMs and PoS terminals at marketable locations to provide convenient payment/cash services and thereby generate non-interest income.

Main duties that drive achievement of desired results:

• Participate in the development of e-banking products/services marketing strategies and drive the execution of below-the-line activities;
• Carry out market survey of industry trends to identify potential clients/Merchants/Agents and user needs;
• Plan and execute branch training, and support programs and create awareness of the Bank’s E-banking services;
• Develop, routinely review and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, standards and guidelines to support the smooth and efficient delivery of E-banking services;
• Set direction on ATM site selection and deployment for approval by the Director, Digital Banking and relevant organs;
• Participate in the development of targets for branches on E-banking services/channel and monitor their performance against these targets;
• Review and approve E-banking customer agreements and merchant contracts in line with the Bank’s delegation of authority and standards;
• Expand foreign payment cards membership by carrying out feasibility studies on membership of payment institutions;
• Closely follow-up and support Branch activities in driving the recruitment and expansion of the Bank’s agent network;
• Monitoring the Bank’s agent banking service offered by agents;
• Explore areas of agent motivation (incentives, technical support, etc) and excellence in striving to provide the service;
• Work on agent visibility by rendering impactful branding and promotion;
• Provide the necessary support and training for branch staff and agents;
• Compile performance reports of branches and agents;
• Prepare and/or regularly update policies and procedures of the service;
• Submitting updated list of agents and related information to NBE periodically as required;
• Undertake generic duties of the Division (planning, budgeting, coaching and mentoring, supervision, reporting, performance appraisal).

Job Requirement

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Management, Economics, Accounting or related field, with six (6) years of experience of which two (2) years should be at a supervisory position; Or Bachelor’s degree in Management, Economics, Accounting or related field, with six (8) years of experience of which two (2) years should be at supervisory position;
• Full professional qualification is desirable;
• Specialist knowledge of the banking sector
