Job Description
Comunità Volontari per il Mondo (CVM) is a non-profit making Christian Organization based in Ancona, Italy. It was founded in 1978 by a group of people who had deeply dedicated but also had the concern to help people in their struggle to exist in this world irrespective of who are and where they are from. Comunità Volontari per il Mondo (CVM) has been working in Ethiopia since 1995, focusing its work on water, hygiene, and sanitation, HIV prevention, and control through socio-health interventions; promotion of social policies and human rights; promoting social inclusion and minority rights; support for training and access to education; socio-economic and micro-credit development, Decent work for domestic workers and safe migration.
CVM is implementing a project entitled “Provision of Assistance, Protection, Repatriation, and Reintegration Program for Ethiopian Migrant Domestic Workers (returnees) in Addis Ababa, Amhara, Oromia, SNNP, and Tigray regions.
CVM is recruiting a competent social worker with preference expertise in returnees’ reintegration programs, safer migration and/or anti-human trafficking, and experience in business database management.
Full-Time Position of 40 hours per week
Reporting to: Project facilitator
About the Position
This is an exciting and demanding role for an outstanding individual with experience in working with people and with crucial competence required for this role eg experience of business database base management, communication etc.
The social worker is responsible for daily follow up and communication with over 362 reintegrated returnees and local stakeholders, collect the business monitoring data and update the business database & analysis on regular basis, collect the necessary background information of new returnees, collect and document case stories and best practices of the project.
The social worker will be an employee of the CVM Addis Ababa Shelter office and join the team working with returnee migrant workers.

Qualification and Experience:
CVM seeks an energetic, thoughtful, and committed Social Worker and preference to candidate who have experience working with migrant workers/returnees and/or marginalized communities and a track record of implementing development programs with strong communication, business database management & analysis.
