Job Description
Purpose of The Job
A Senior IT Support Technician is responsible for resolving support requests with computer hardware, software, and network systems, as well as meeting customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands. IT Support staff work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that provides services over the phone, through e-mail, in person, and self-service.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure that PCs and laptops are up to date as per the IT policy of the company.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
- Ensure that all PCs are protected from virus attacks by installing the latest Anti-Virus program.
- Install and configure new IT equipment.
- Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
- Communicating the status of Help Desk requests to users via Service Desk system, email, phone, and other channels on an ongoing basis.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with voice communications (Fixed telephone, PBX, or IP telephone system).
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
- Maintain a first-class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.
- Performs IT asset and software license inventory, maintains an up-to-date database, and generates reports.
Job Requirements
- BSc Degree in Computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- At least 3 years experience in LAN Networking, PC Repair, Internet Tools, end-user support, hardware, and software installation.
- Excellent communication and customer care skills.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
